I just can't resist a nice sunny fall day. We went to the beach. Kids got a kick out of kicking sand into the lake.
Then they decided to have some fun burying their socks and shoes.
Almost gone.
Gone!
We dug the shoes out before we left but we could not find the socks which was buried in a different spot. Oh well! two pairs of socks gone. Maybe we'll find it tomorrow -- if weather permits.

Boxes, boxes, boxes.
Supposedly 108 of em. They all decided to come to KangarooBoo at the same time. From 3 different vendors.

First we painted one wall green. Seb wanted to paint a tree. He also wanted to measure it.
Then another wall was painted orange. Yup the little people got to help. I caved in, they REALLY wanted to help.
We used ZERO VOC paint. There's no smell at all. Highly recommended.
This was a couple of weeks ago.

I just got an email from one of the moms:
I volunteered in Mrs. Smith's class yesterday and got to work on a little project with some of the kids. We were making pictures and writing notes to Mrs. Lucy for her last day of student teaching next week. They each had to fill in their thoughts after this sentence: "Mrs. Lucy will be a great teacher because ...... (fill in the blank)." Anyway, Sebastian was so sweet -- he wrote, "because she plays and she sings." And he wrote it all by himself without asking for help with any of the words! I was helping another student and when I looked back over at Sebastian he was already done. I was so impressed! My goodness, how smart.
Sebastian makes me so proud. He's only FIVE!
Stuff like this inspires me to work even so much harder on KangarooBoo to make sure it succeeds. I want him to be proud of his daddy.
What kind of stuff inspires you?
